The lighting device that I would be starting with is a cheaply made book light. It has a clip at the base which could be clipped on to the pages of a book and and flexible wire body which allows the user to adjust the height and direction of the beam.
This kind of light is used by people who enjoy reading in bed before going to sleep and also with the lights in their room switched off. It is light and portable which attracts people who are looking for portability in their book light.
