This book light is quite cheaply made. Most of the parts are plastic other than the flexible metal neck. The electronics are also quite straight forward, comprising of a small bulb, 3 button batteries and a push switch. The position of the switch is quite intuitive and overall the light has a simple aesthetic that is not flashy.

Initial plan: I want to change the overall shape and size of the light, keeping only the simple aesthetics and the interaction with the light. I like that idea of having the user to touch the light itself to adjust the direction of the beam to suit his/ her needs. I hope to create a table lamp that can also be used as a bed side lamp keeping with the initial book light where it is meant to be used at night time.
