In this project “Time”, I want to explore the idea of travelling. It is such a huge part of our lives, we spend so much of our time going places, but with the intent of reaching a destination, we often pay no attention to the journey. Through my series, I hope to bring together the little snippets of time we miss while rushing into a single composition, a single time frame.
The photos in the series will be made up of sets of two photos, as a way to emphasize the narrative I have in mind. It will be a recording of a location, showing the passing of time in a digital montage style. The photos are first taken on a tripod and then split up and put together digitally, as a way to involve multiple moments in time in a single composition.
With a focus on subjects that are moving, a faster shutter speed will also have to be used, to freeze their motion. The photos will be shot in the early afternoon to take advantage of natural lighting to bring out the vibrancy and colours amongst the busyness.
