Following the previous iteration, I felt that having one end of it in its natural store-bought state looked a little boring. I tried switching the steps in which the tile was treated: burning first then hammer + chisel. By adding using consistent heat, I burnt the surface of the wood as much as possible, which resulted in a very glossy surface and complements very nicely with the side that was processed and smooth. Constrasting it, a hammer and chisel is used to reveal a more organic surface as found with wood naturally. Labels: dsdn141
