I filled the flower in with colours of the orchid Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore national flower, so as to link my chinese culture and Singaporean identity. It also allowed me to incorporate an abstracted version of the orchid which ties in to my personal minimalistic style. This also relates to the colour used for the rest of the pattern: shades of grey and white, so as to keep the pattern relatively clean despite the great amount of details. Labels: dsdn101
