Purpose of this set of iterations was to explore pattern and it's contribution to rhythm in the process of repetitions. Folds of different widths and direction was thus used along with a consistent pattern of lines as inspired by Jauregui's work. I feel that the light and shadow as a result really highlights the rhythm in the models.
The idea in this set was to explore figure ground relationship, and in particular, how having a 'step' in the model allows for a simple but effective demonstration of space and volume. The step also gives a sense of asymmetrical balance when viewed from the side, like a chair which only has it's two front legs. Thus the models' ability to stand was also concentrated on in this set to create a sense of unexpected equilibrium.
Set 3.

In this set, sequence was explored while concentrating on the shape of a triangle, starting from the shadow sequence in the form of the darkness of the shadow in the first model to subsequent more physical sequence in the form of repeated folds. An intersection was subsequently incorporated to draw the eyes to the center of the model where there is a transition in direction (models 3 and 4) and elements (model 5 and 6)
